Ultimate Fan Guide: Rise of a Champion XII

Sunday February 19th Premiere Wrestling Xperience celebrates an anniversary in Concord, North Carolina with their annual super show Rise of a Champion. PWX already kicked off the New Year with 'Road to Rise of a Champion' in Gastonia, North Carolina in January. Perennially, Rise of a Champion is the true kickoff to a brand new year of the best wrestling in the southeast. All of the major championships in PWX will be defended at Rise of a Champion XII in addition to those title matches there will be a first time ever dream match between two of pro wrestling's most notorious loose cannons as 'The Death Machine' Sami Callihan faces former WWE World Heavyweight Champion "The Charismatic Enigma" Jeff Hardy! The event will also see the return of the brutal, dangerous, and exciting 'Opportunity Knocks' ladder match as well as a Queens of Combat Showcase match. In total, EIGHT big matches are scheduled for the 12th anniversary super show and in the past Rise of a Champion has never been short on lasting memories and surprises. VIP First & Second Row Tickets SOLD OUT at a record pace, but tickets are still available as Cabarrus Arena & Events Center has moved Rise of a Champion XII into the larger 20,000 square foot 'Gold Hall 1' building. We kicked off a brand new year on the road to our 12th anniversary super show 'Rise of a Champion'. "Big Mike" Michael Elgin returned to PWX to challenge "Man Scout" Jake Manning for the PWX World Championship, The Ugly Ducklings defended their PWX Tag Team Titles, David Starr defended his wXw Shotgun Championship in a triple threat match and everyone had one goal in mind, securing their spot on one of the biggest shows of the year. Gastonia, North Carolina played host to a crowd of nearly 500 for 'Road to Rise of a Champion' let's take a look at all the action that jumpstarted a brand new year for Premiere Wrestling Xperience.

Happy New Year, PWX faithful! Just days into 2017 and Premiere Wrestling Xperience is already on the 'Road to Rise of a Champion' but 2016 was a very memorable year for the fans, performers, and everyone involved.  2016 provided star making and breakout performances, a fond farewell to a PWX icon, worldwide acknowledgement and great shows each and every month. With the help of many PWX fans sharing their favorite memories from 2016, let's pause and reflect before we crank up for an EVEN BETTER new year!

Premiere Wrestling Xperience closed out a banner year with a return to Concord North Carolina and a visit from "Broken" Matt Hardy as Seasons Deletings ushered fans into the holiday season. "Manscout" Jake Manning, James Drake, & The Ugly Ducklings stood tall to end the year as champions going into the New Year and there was yet another FANTASTIC 4 Way. A chaotic final confrontation between The Revolt and The Bravados was one of the most brutal matches of the year and still we were left with plenty of momentum as we gear up for a brand new year. The Ugly Ducklings (Rob Killjoy, Lance Lude, & Colby Corino) w/ Coach Mikey defeated Oi4k (Sami Callihan, Jake Crist & Dave Crist)

Anthony Henry w/ Amber Young defeated Darius Lockhart via submission

Timmy Lou Retton defeated Joseph A'Gau, Dezmond Xavier, & Jason Cade

Ethan Case defeated Martin Stone

The Revolt (Caleb Konley & Zane Riley) defeated The Bravado Brothers in a No Disqualification 'Final Confrontation' between the two teams

PWX ITV Champion "The New Age Enforcer" James Drake defeated Tracer X to retain

Drake was attacked prior the match and it was revealed the perpetrators were Elijah Evans IV, THE Tommy Thomas and a third unnamed man

"The Product" David Starr defeated Chip Day to retain the wXw Shotgun championship

The Bruiserweights (John Skyler & Corey Hollis) defeated Jimmy Rave & Sal Rinauro

The Main Event between PWX World Champion "Manscout" Jake Manning and "Broken" Matt Hardy ended in a no contest after a double pinfall following interference from The Revolt
