PWX ‘Unsanctioned’ opened with six athletes proving they have what it takes to earn a permanent roster spot and ended with one of the wildest main events in our history. Concord, North Carolina was treated to another memorable night of action including the first ever Duxedo Match, James Drake attempting to run The Syndicate’s Gauntlet and a farewell (for now) from “Mr. PWX” Ethan Case. Premiere Wrestling Xperience ends 2017 where we began, atop the independent wrestling landscape with much more in store in the New Year. Thank you all for another wonderful year! Let’s take a look at quick results from our last event of 2017
PWX ‘Pure’ Preshow
Joshua Cutshall w/ Richard Cheese defeated Ian Maxwell
High Profile (Shea Shea McGrady & Will Demented) defeated Mister Sleaze & “Classy” Mason Myles
“The Revolutionary” Darius Lockhart defeated Drew Adler to retain the PWX Innovative Television Championship
Coach Mikey defeated THE Tommy Thomas in the first ever Duxedo match. By way of The Coach’s win The Ugly Ducklings now control the stipulation for their PWX Tag Team Titles rematch with They Syndicate at X-16 in January.
X-16 Qualifying Match
Tracer X defeated “Mr. PWX” Ethan Case to qualify for the 2018 X-16 tournament and deny Case an opportunity to compete in his third straight tournament. Following the match, Case recalled labeling Tracer “the future of PWX” at last year’s X-16 tournament and went on to talk about guys like Drew Adler, Darius Lockhart, Billy Brash, and so many others who are awaiting their shot to make a splash in PWX. Case told the crowd he felt he’d reached his potential in PWX and said “Goodbye for now”
“The Weapon of Sass Destruction” EFFY debuted in Premiere Wrestling Xperience next and wasted no time in calling out White Mike. Mike came to the entrance way but turned down a fight with EFFY until Mike’s partner “Manscout” Jake Manning literally threw Mike into the fight. EFFY controlled a lot of the contest and got the win via disqualification following interference from The Manscout but things seem to be far from settled in the “WhippedCreamGate” feud between these two.
The newly married King and Queen of PWX, World Heavyweight Champion Anthony Henry and Amber Young came to the ring next for the first ever “Lethal Lovers Open Challenge” Henry bragged on his past accomplishments calling himself the greatest champion this company has ever seen until former WWN Heavyweight Champion and EVOLVE superstar Fred Yehi answered the challenge.
Anthony Henry w/ Amber Young defeated Fred Yehi to retain the PWX World Heavyweight Championship. One of the more shocking moments of 2017 happened in this one as Yehi appeared to tap the champion out and win the title but a closer look (from the urging of Amber Young) saw Henry’s legs under the rope and the Champion took advantage of a restart grabbing a handful of tights to retain.
“The New Age Enforcer” James Drake came to the ring next with one goal in mind, getting his hands on Elijah Evans IV. Drake said he’d run The Syndicate gauntlet for a shot at their leader and that’s exactly the task that was laid in front of the former ITV Champion.
Drake defeated Timmy Lou Retton in 9 seconds
Drake defeated BOSS via disqualification
Drake and Montana Black’s match was thrown out as the entire Syndicate got involved and Drake will not receive his 1 on 1 shot at Elijah Evans IV. EEIV did make sure to deliver an elbow drop from the top rope until Rob Killjoy and Lance Lude ran out to even the odds and run The Syndicate off.
Following the brawl The Ugly Ducklings announced their rematch with The Syndicate at X-16 would involve DUCKS!….LADDERS!!!….and CHAIRS!!!! OH MY!!!! January 2018 for the PWX Tag Team Titles it will be a DLC MATCH!!!!
Kamilla Kaine defeated Lacy Lane
Corey Hollis defeated “The Southern Savior” John Skyler in an Unsanctioned Street Fight. Hollis and Skyler finally got their hands on one another with no repercussions for them nor for Premiere Wrestling Xperience and the former best friends took full advantage. They brawled in the restroom, all around the venue, blood was shed, multiple weapons were used but in the end Hollis had the winning game plan as he was assisted by his new & improved COUNTRY JACKED in a 3 on 1 beat down that earned him the victory over the former 2 time PWX World Champion.
